Coronavirus Policy & Precautions

Updated: 02/05/2021

As the coronavirus has become more and more prevalent in the United States, I would like to address concerns that have come up regarding upcoming weddings. This is new territory to navigate for us all, and I believe that transparency during these difficult times is important. I understand that this has been heartbreaking for my couples, to have to reschedule the happiest day of their lives and put all of their plans on hold. I also understand that this virus has affected all of our daily lives, and jeopardized the health of ourselves and our loved ones. It’s a scary time for humanity, but I assure you that I will try to do everything in my power to accomadate you all as much as I possibly can. But I also want to remind you that I am also a small business struggling during this time.

I am leaving this page here for you to reference all of my coronavirus policies and I will be updating this frequently as the situation changes. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions about changing your date or cancellations. I am more than happy to help in any way that I can.

POSTPONING INTO 2022

If you cancel or postpone your event in 2021 to a weekend date in 2022, a new (30% of your contract) deposit will be required to reserve an additional date. I will require a signature on an addendum to signify the release of the previous date and to remind you that any deposits paid previously are non-refundable. Unfortunately, my business can no longer sustain complementary postponements into 2022. If weddings can legally take place (i.e. no shelter in place, etc.) and I can perform services, I plan on being at your wedding.

POSTPONING WITHIN 2021

If you decide to postpone your event to a date later in 2021, you are subject to my current 2021 pricing to hold your new date. If you choose a date that I am no longer available, the deposit is non-refundable.

MICROWEDDINGS & SMALL WEDDINGS

If you postpone your reception but move forward with a small wedding on your original date, your original retainer will be applied to your small event.

If you postpone to a date later in 2021, you are subject to my current 2021 pricing. If you postpone to a date in 2022, I will require a new deposit to reserve the new date.

MULTIPLE POSTPONEMENTS

If you’ve already paid a postponement fee and are rescheduling for a second+ time, I will require a new deposit to reserve any additional dates, and any previous deposits paid will be forfeited. Any non-retainer fees paid will be automatically transferred to your new balance.

WEEKDAY POSTPONEMENTS

If you decide to postpone your wedding to a weekday (Monday-Thursday) in 2021 or 2022, there is no change fee, and I will transfer the deposit and all monies paid to the new date.

CANCELLATION/SCHEDULE CONFLICT

If you choose to cancel your date entirely, or I am already booked on your new date, I remind you that your deposit is non-refundable. At the bottom of this page cites my cancellation policy from the wedding photography contract you previously signed to reserve your date.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Lauren Weber Photography and our team will wear masks throughout the entire wedding day or event. I will also be sanitizing my hands and camera equipment frequently, in an effort to keep everyone as safe as possible.

A few ways to stay safe during a wedding in Covid-19:

Consider reducing the guest count, or leaving extra space between guests. This could be at the ceremony, as well as during the reception. Leave plenty of extra space for everyone to socially distance and keep each other safe.

Wedding-branded masks are not only a great party favor, but a fantastic and easy way to keep all of your guests safe. Wedding-branded hand sanitizer bottles is also another creative way to keep your guests safe.

I also suggest to ask your guests to take their temperature before coming to the wedding. Studies have shown that even if you show little to know symptoms, you can still test positive and spread coronavirus. If you or your guests don’t feel well prior to the wedding day, it is best to stay home and prevent the spread. If me or my team notice any symptoms, I will help you to find a replacement photographer to capture your day.

MY CURRENT CONTRACT STATES…

Postponement: Upon your signature, Lauren Weber Photography will reserve the time and date agreed upon, and will not make other reservations for that time and date. For this reason, the Reservation Deposit of 30% is non-refundable, even if the date is changed or the wedding cancelled for any reason; including acts of God, fire, strike and/or extreme weather. The Reservation Deposit is to be paid at the time of signing the contract. The Reservation Deposit is applied towards the contracted wedding photography package. The client understands and agrees that the entire amount owed for the wedding photography package described in the contract is on or prior to the wedding date.

Cancellation: In the event that the client cancels the contracted services for wedding photography outlined in this contract before the wedding ceremony takes place, the deposit will be forfeited. Lauren Weber Photography agrees to refund all additional paid money (less expenditures for which receipts will be provided)
